At-home whitening
This method provides gentle, yet effective whitening. You will receive a kit containing custom-made trays and whitening gel that you will use daily at home over a period of approximately two weeks. You will obtain the same result as with chairside whitening, but more gradually.
What do you need to know before considering teeth whitening ?
- Teeth whitening is not permanent. The longevity of results depends on eating habits. Tea, coffee and tobacco should be avoided as they stain and discolor teeth.
- Teeth whitening should be performed on clean teeth. A professional cleaning should be carried out within the 2 weeks prior to the procedure.
- If you have cavities, gum infections, sensitive teeth or any other dental or oral problem, they need to be treated first.
- Teeth whitening does not lighten the colour of fillings or artificial materials used in dental restorations such as crowns, porcelain veneers, etc.
- This procedure is contraindicated if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
